Check out my Etsy Shop!

For some reason the pictures wouldn't post but here is the addie for my shop:

........EtsyBuy Handmadeaheartofmersea......

Also, the Sprout on the right side of the blog has some part missing but if you go to:

http://www.myspace.com/juliars

the Sprout builder is there in full. Down the right corner is a word: "Share" I would really appreciate it if you would click on "Share" and add it to your blogs and other places. This will help people come see my artwork and crafts that are up for sale! You'll be helping to keep an artist from starving! LOL

Here it is Wednesday already!

Sometimes I am amazed at how fast time goes by! I remember being in high school and time went by so slow that it made me crazy! Now I yawn and a week has gone by! LOL

Today I went to my Pet Sitting Clients house to get the keys and update the info for the weekend job. I am looking forward to going back there - they have a pool and they are situated on a river near the Virginia Beach shore! They have three crazy dogs that love to swim with me in the pool, they are always fun! And doing weekend jobs like this is actually good for me because I often get inspired to create some art.

I have started a series of flower faeries/angels pictures. I want to write poetry that will go along with the pictures. I am hoping that in the future I will publish a book with art and poetry.

Here's my Saturday!

Today I spent hours on the computer networking, took care of a neighbors cat and garden, continued some research on meanings of flowers, hubby and I visited a friend and swam in her pool, came home to discover that our garden gnome has taken off on another adventure (last time he went to Atlanta, Ga) the note he left said this time he will be flying so he is all excited! Hubby just left with the latest foster dog to deliver our neighborhoods Civic league news flyer, and I am back on the computer.

Tonight we will eat and watch the X Files then walk the dogs. Not a bad day at all!

New Faerie

Today I finished a beautiful picture of a Poppy Faerie! She is an African American faerie and loves her Poppies! My hubby is right now scanning her and getting her ready to be added to my Etsy Shop. Hope you will go see her: www.aheartofmersea.etsy.com

Home again!

I am now at home! The client got home a few days earlier than expected. My first night home I slept until 11 when my friend was to meet me at my house so we could ride together to the Gem Show in Virginia Beach! I must have really been tired! Next day I slept until 9 and then today I was up at 8:30. Even though there isn't a lot of work doing some of these jobs, I am discovering that it takes a lot out of me so it takes a few days to recoop.

Today I need to go back to the Gem Show to get my ring resized and then meet with a client to go over the info for taking care of her cats. the lady lives a few houses down the street from me and it isn't a House sitting job so I will be at home.

Got the results from the glucose test and I do not have diabetes! That is great! I was afraid I had it because most everyone in my family has diabetes but I am the only one that had Fibromyalgia.

I have been having problems with my feet for a few months so I went to the Doc about it. He checked my feet and said he thought it was just the Fibro giving me a hard time. He gave an Rx and I have to have a fasting blood test to check and make sure there isn't anything else going on. One of the things he is looking for is Porpheria which is what my Mom had. Hopefully everything will come back clear!

The saga continues...

Well, last night turned out to be an interesting one! First I was going to let the dogs out for thier last chore of the evening - about 11 and as I headed into the porch I tripped and fell down two steps and landed on the floor! I hurt my right wrist, both my ankles, and bruised my left hip and right knee!As if that wasn't bad enough when I let the dogs out two of them found a way to get out of the yard and took off! One showed up about 15 minutes later, called my hubby and he came out to help look for Kiwi, and called the clients to find out where her normal place she runs to. They said don't worry she will show up in about an hour. She did. I called my husband who was scoping out the neighborhood looking for her and let him know she was back so he went home. I put the dogs in the house and then got in the pool. I love to swim in a darkened pool and right then I needed to relax!

Today my husband came over with some fencing, found the spot the dogs snuck out and hopefully fixed it so they won't get out again. Of course I am not going to give them the opportunity again... I am going to put Kiwi on the line whenever she goes out! After finishing the fence, my hubby and I swam and played in the pool. One of the dogs is a die hard tennis ball player and loved for us to throw the ball into the pool so he could dive in and get it. It really was fun! Very relaxing.

Tonight I will watch TV and crochet. Very relaxing. Just what I need!

Adventures

Hi everyone! Wow it has been a long time since I have been able to get on-line! I started a Pet sitting job a week ago yesterday and one of the cats was very sick, he has conjestive heart failure and renal failure, he was stable but she wasn't sure the cat would make it through the week (he did very well and was still alive when I left him last night.) For some reason the client decided she didn't want me connecting my laptop to her system. Once I got there and was settled I found that I couldn't do anything creative except crochet, I tried but just couldn't do it so I crocheted lace all week while watching Jane Austen movies. Then I experienced every sitters nightmare one day: I had chicken in the oven, stepped into the garage (after making sure the door wasn't set to lock) and when I went to go back in the door had locked itself! I checked with the neighbors to see if anyone had a key or knew where there was a spare (couldn't call client because she was out of the country!) and no one knew but I got a history as to why no one in the neighborhood liked my client... very strange! I called my husband and he headed out but I began to panic because it was time to get the chicken out so I called 911, hubby arrived at the same time the firetruck did and between them they got me in the house with very little damage. Get this, when I told the client what happened she started fussing and told me I was not to talk to the neighbors next door not the ones across the street... they are evil and I am not allowed to have them in her house! (?) Client was due to arrive at home last night, haven't heard anything from her yet but if I don't hear from her by noon I will head out to her house and take care of the cats. Another weird thing that happened a day after the first incident was when I went to put my earrings on one of them wasn't there. I looked everywhere in the bathroom which is where I had left them) including the drains, gave up and went to get another pair. Something caught my eye as I was getting my jewelry bag out of my suitcase: my earring was underneath the lamp in the bedroom! Have no idea how it got from point A to point B!I started a new job yesterday and this one is great! Very peaceful, situated on the river and has a swimming pool! I am watching three of the sweetest dogs and one sweet cat. I will be here for a little over 2 weeks. And I have already been able to pick up a pencil and draw! So glad to be in this house! And so glad to be able to get online again!God is good!
